Odenton

Odenton was called "The Town a Railroad Built" when in 1868, two railroad crossed at the site. The town served railroad workers and farmers in this area of Anne Arundel County. When Fort Meade was established within Odenton in 1917, it spurred new growth. But since 2000, the growth of Fort Meade and NSA has caused Odenton's population to nearly double to nearly 38,000 people.
